Isaiah
40:8
Introduce yourself like we are having a cup of coffee together. :) What kind of coffee/tea would you drink?
Hello! My name is Alondra Melendez I am 20 years old, I've been married for 9 months! Since sitting together over coffee happens to be one of my favorites, I’d probably give you a hug and sip on a double choclate chip frappuccino! : )

When did you start following Christ?
I grew up in church but never really understood what it meant to follow Christ wholeheartdly.. It wasn't until I was 16 years old when I went to a summer camp called Unique with the church I attend now.

What does it mean to you to live a life that truly follows Christ?
To me it means to surrender myself to Christ, to trust and obey Him even when I can't understand what He is doing.
How do you integrate sharing the gospel through your job?
I work as an assistant & after school speciaslist! Two completely different positions, in one of them most of the time I am alone
so I give it my best as if I was doing it for Christ. In my other job I am surronded by students. I try to show them kindness, love, and forgiveness. It can be hard working with kids sometimes but they truly are a blessing. I try to be a reflection of Christ and look at them thru His eyes. ( Especially when they make me upset lol) My daily prayer as I go into work is for me to be able to be a light in there, be a good listener and teacher towards my students.

What is your favorite thing about being a wife?
Being able to come home to my hsuband everyday! He is my bestfriend <3 He challenges me, encourages me and gets me out of my comfort zone! I love our trips to walmart, QT (for snacks) and just the way he makes me laugh! I am blessed to be his wife!
As a wife how do you show Christ love to your husband daily?
I try to show my husband Christ love through sending encouraging texts, verses throught out the day, praying for him daily and making him lunch & filling with a lot of snacks lol! We have been married 9 months but what I have learned so far is to respect and honor my husband as the leader of our home. To make him and our marriage my priority. The first couple of month this was hard on us because I was always trying to make sure we were doing something and helping somewhere. But God has really taught me its okay to say no sometimes and our marriage has to be our first ministry because if we arent okay how can God use us outside of our home.

Why do you blog?
I love blogging becauses its a way of being transparent with others, sharing life and sharing who Christ is! I've always loved reading and writing I write in my journals a lot so thought it would be amazing to share with others.
What are some verses you cling on too?
Isaiah 40:8 (please read)
It reminds me that everything in life will pass away and fail me! But the only who never will is Christ.

Jeremiah 29:13 (please read)
He is always there! I need to seek Him always with my whole heart and He will always draw near to me.

Ecclesiastes 3:1 (please read)
Everything that I go through in life is for a reason it will only make me grow in my faith more! God promises us to always give us the strength and I know I am never going through it alone. This verses also reminds me to enter each season of life with JOY.

What life lessons are you learning in your current season of life?
To completely trust God. Right now my husband and I are entering a journey that will last a while and I have no control over it and it freaks me out I am not going to lie lol but I have to remember God is in control and who better to be in control of the whole situation than the God almighty, the provider, the Good shepherd, the ALL knowing God. <3

What is something God has set in your heart to share with others?

Without Christ this life we have is useless. It doesnt mean anything! God loves you more than you can imagine or be loved by anyone in this earth. No matter what you have done in life HE IS WAITING FOR YOU.
