Fear - an unpleasant emotion caused by the belief that someone or something is dangerous, likely to cause pain, or a threat.

Let me start with this I am terrified of dogs I've had a very bad experience. Once four pit bulls almost attacked my little sister and I ever since then I have been scared of big dogs.

For a couple of weeks now I have lived in F E A R. My husband and I live in an apartment complex, oh I was so excited when I was going to move in because I thought I wasn't going to have to worry about going outside my house and see dogs down the street. Well I was wrong two doors down lives a black German shepherd I call it the beast (lol). Every morning it's the same routine when I am heading out I look outside my window to make sure the lady hasn't taken him out for his walk. Seriously it takes me like 15 minutes to get to my car because I think they might be coming up the stairs so I run back to my apartment or I go down the long way to aviod running into them.

A couple of days God really spoke to me. I always say I trust Him but yet with this small situation I was letting fear paralyze me and not trusting Him that I would be okay. We can't let fear control us & stop us from doing what He has called to do..

In Deuteronomy 32:11 says "He was like an eagle building its nest that flutters over its young . It spreads its wings to catch them and carries them on its feathers." This verse really spoke to me and it's powerful! God is like an eagle parent, caring for us. He desires to protect us, teach us and let us soar. We were born to fly, but we often stay stuck in the safety of the nest for longer that we need to, sometimes even our whole lives. "But God wants to set us free to fly. He knows we can't do it alone so He asks us to hop onto his wings and allow Him to take us to new heights." How is God calling you to leave fear behind to step out of the nest and trust Him? It may be as simple as not taking the long way anymore to avoid a dog or maybe He has called you to do something you don't think you are capable of doing. Whatever it may be T R U S T H I M!
