Today I am excited to introduce my friend, Judy Rodriguez, to you! She has a heart for the Lord and reaching others! I met Judy at Waves of Faith and have had the joy of getting to know her over these past couple of months! Judy has a beautiful gift of taking pictures! She runs her own business called "Judy Rodriguez Photography" I know you will be blessed getting to know her! <3

Introduce yourself like we are having a cup of coffee together. :) What kind of coffee/tea would you drink?

Hey, sweet friend! Right now I'm enjoying a great cup of Colombian coffee! I only like to drink coffee if it's iced and I love putting a small peppermint candy to give it some sweetness. My name is Judy Rodriguez, I'm 30 years old. I'm the mommy of two sweet little girls and I've been married to my loving husband for six years.

When did you start following Jesus?

I was blessed to be born into a Christian home. My parents, family and church family all played a pivotal role in building my foundation. But I feel I truly learned to lean on my Heavenly Father during my years in college. He became real to me. In college I attended Denton Bible and I heard Pastor Tommy Nelson preach on the Songs of Solomon. I always knew that the Bible was His word and our guide. I knew that He had given us Proverbs, so we could grow in wisdom. The book of Psalms deals with worship, thanksgiving and lamentation. But when I realized that He made sure we had the book of Songs of Solomon, because he cared about my love life- that blew my mind! How could it be that a God that created EVERYTHING cared about Judy Peña's (my maiden name) love life? It still blows my mind.

What are some verses you constantly cling to?

My Grandma use to pray this over me all the time:

““ ‘ “The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make his face shine on you and be gracious to you; the Lord turn his face toward you and give you peace.” ’”

‭‭Numbers‬ ‭6:24-26‬ ‭

In this hectic world, I continue to pray this over myself and my family. May my Prince of Peace give us peace. May my God, the same God that shined His face on Moses please shine His face on us and be gracious to us because I fail Him daily.

How do you integrate sharing the Gospel through photography?

I love documenting all the amazing things God is doing. It's a blessing to be alive and share life with my little family. I don't want to forget any detail of how good God has been to us. I try to document our lives through pictures.

How did God direct you to become a photographer?

I believe God has equipped all of us to share His light. For example Moses, was one of the most educated men of his time. God placed him under the care of the Pharaoh, where he grew up as a prince and received the best education in Egypt. Because of his Education, Moses was equipped to write the first five books of the Bible. In these books he could document all of God's work.

I believe we have to share all the great things God is doing in our lives! I've always loved capturing God's precious moments through pictures. I believe it's my way of documenting God's work.

What life lessons are you learning in owning your own small business and being a stay at home mom of two?

Put God first. I can't be a good wife, daughter, mother, sister, friend or entrepreneur if I don't have a relationship with my Heavenly Father.

If you could tell every person reading this blog one thing God has laid on your heart, what would it be?

I serve a powerful God. My God, the same one that created the Heavens and the Earth cares about you! He cares about every detail of you, even the silliest things. He wants to be your best friend. You can't get a better friend than Him, a friend that cares about you and will give His life for you! "Greater love has no one than this, that someone lay down his life for his friends." John 15:3
